SCO Summit – Pakistani PM calls for universal efforts to battle Coronavirus
ISLAMABAD – Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has called on the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit for universal coordinated efforts to combat adverse impacts of the coronavirus pandemic and to battle with its emerging second wave.
While speaking at the SCO summit via video link, he apprised Pakistan in collaboration with China is working to develop a vaccine for the Covid-19.
The Pakistani Prime Minister apprised that Pakistan supports Chinese efforts to curb the Covid-19 in providing protection equipment to the deserving countries.
He further added that Pakistan welcomes the initiative of G-20 by given debt relief to the countries of poor economies.
The Pakistani Prime Minister also apprised that we emphasize the implementation of United Nations resolutions in keeping peace around the globe. In this regard, world nations should condemn the Indian unilateral actions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir that can disturb the regional as well as global peace.
He further added there is no military solution to the Afghan problem and in this regard we have positively contributed to the Afghan peace pact. He apprised reduction in violence is essential to keep peace in Afghanistan. He added the return of Afghan Refugees with dignity should be an essential part of Afghanistan peace negotiations.
