
Russian President fully agrees with Pakistan’s proposal on Coronavirus vaccine
SOCHI/ISLAMABAD – Russian President Vladimir Putin has agreed with the proposal of Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan that a Coronavirus vaccine should be a worldwide public good.
While addressing the Russia-hosted summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan apprised that all member countries must take a “unified stand that a Coronavirus vaccine must be analyzed as a worldwide public good cost-efficient and approachable for everyone.
Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan further apprised that at present Pakistan in coordination with China is working to develop a vaccine for Covid-19 and fully supports Chinese efforts to curb the pandemic in providing protective equipment to deserving countries.
In response to the Pakistan Prime Minister’s speech, Russian President Putin apprised,
“I fully agree with the Pakistani PM stance that the coronavirus vaccine should be a worldwide global good”.
The Russian President also mentioned the Pakistani PM remark that it was unclear when the world gets the vaccine available to all

He brought to mind that Russia has registered two coronavirus vaccines, which have proved to be safe and effective, with another one being in the pipeline.
Putin noted that Russia stands ready to cooperate on the matter with nations within the SCO and beyond.
