ISLAMABAD: The information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector has the immense capability for Employment Generation and revenue and Government has focused special attention on this sector remarked by Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Imran Khan on Wednesday.
“This government’s aim is a self-reliant Pakistan that can come out as a global power,” he apprised.
The Prime Minister, Imran Khan shared his views while presiding over the final session of the National Seminar on “Resetting & Rebooting Pakistan’s ICT Sector” at the National Defence University (NDU), In accordance with the press release promulgated by the PM Media Office.
“We must focus on our youth’s skill development,” asked the PM Imran Khan.

The final session of the National Seminar was also attended by Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Hussain Chaudhry, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail, and NDU President Lt Gen Muhammad Saeed.
Moreover, well-known national and international ICT experts, industrial representatives, and senior military and civil officers attended the seminar.
Whereas the DG Institute for Strategic Studies, Research, and Analysis of NDU presented the recommendations of the seminar.
The PM Imran Khan appreciated the efforts of NDU for organizing a seminar on the ICT sector and ensured full facilitation to the ICT stakeholders for providing an enabling and supportive regulatory environment from the government.
