ATTOCK – The Pakistan Railways launched two more trains on Sunday which would chug on branch lines to facilitate the masses living in remote areas.
These new trains would run on the Attock branch line Jand and Mari Indus under the public-private partnership on two distinctive routes to facilitate the populace.
These two trains were inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner, Attock Ali Anan Qammar.
Deputy Commissioner, Attock Ali Anan Qammar inaugurated the two new trains. Officials of the railway and management of private train service were also attended the inaugural ceremony.
While addressing the inauguration ceremony, the Deputy Commissioner apprised that the Attock passenger train would be operated between Mari Indus and Attock City whereas the other Jund passenger train would run between Jund and Attock City.
He further apprised that thousands of people living in remote areas along with these branch lines would be facilitated especially employees of government and private intuitions.
He ensured the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) would fully comply in the train operations.
