India’s Covid-19 cases go up to 5.4 million as it added 92,605 new infections in the last 24 hours, information from the Federal Health Ministry illustrated on Sunday 20 September 2020.
India has revealed the highest single-day cases in the world since early August and falls behind only the United States, which has 6.7 million cases in terms of total infections.
According to the Ministry of Health, a total of 1,113 people died due to Coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking mortalities to 86,752, which is a relatively low 1.6% of all cases.
With Covid-19 cases wildly going up in India, doctors ask that everyone in the country could be a potential carrier for the Coronavirus.
The virus is out of control in rural India, where people often have to rely on the most basic health facilities.
