ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has registered 6 deaths and 404 new cases of Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, in accordance with the latest Government data so far on Tuesday.
They apprised that 290,261 patients were recovered from Coronavirus in Pakistan, leading the virus to a significant decline. The sources apprised that there were now 5,774 active Covid-19 cases across the country.
In the past 24 hours, 27,277 tests were carried out. As per conducted tests, 404 people tested Coronavirus positive whereas six people also passed away due to the virus in the last 24 hours.
However, schools and colleges are reopened today after remaining closed for more than six months due to Covid-19.
The government authorities issued directives for compliance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for students as well as teachers in schools, colleges, and universities.
The administrations of all these institutions will make sure the availability of sanitizers at the entry gates for students, teachers, and other school staff.
The Educational Institutions will be reopened in three phases in order to avoid the spread of the Covid-19.
Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood on Sept 7, proclaimed reopening of schools, colleges, and universities, making it clear that the measures to control the spread of Covid would be obligatory to pursue at all the educational institutions in the country.
The Government had declared that Educational Institutions from Grade Nine to onwards would be reopened today and if the pandemic condition remained under control then the students in Grade six to eight would return to school on September 23 whereas students in Nursery to Grade Five would come back to classes on September 30.
Correspondingly, the vocational and technical institutions started functioning as well as religious seminaries across the country have also reopened.
