As per the report of media, a three-story residential building in Karachi caught fire on Friday night, due to fire, four people died and seven wounded.
In accordance with the rescue sources, five people, including two women and a child, were evacuated from the building. One person quickly jumped from the building in order to save his life and was severely injured. Later on, the injured person was shifted to the nearby hospital for medical treatment.
As per the report of Police, the injured persons are being treated at the Civil Hospital.
A person named Tauqeer is also among the injured serving in the Police Department. His wife and one-and-a-half-year-old daughter were among those who passed away in the fire, Police said.
As per fire brigade officials, the fire broke out in the cushion factory located on the first floor which then spread from the entire building, whereas there is also a hotel on the ground floor of the building,
A resident of the local area apprised that 24 people, comprising four families were living inside the building when it caught fire.
The fire has been controlled and the cooling process is in process, officials said.
