
Islamabad: Hammad Azhar, Minister for Industries and Production has apprised South Korean Tech giant Samsung was considering establishing a “Smartphone Assembly Plant in Pakistan”.
Smartphone production in Pakistan is growing following DIRBS implementation and Mobile Policy launched in recent times. Met with the Samsung Pak Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). They appreciated both policies and are now vigorously considering to establish a smartphone assembly plant in Pakistan.
Hamad Azhar, the minister for Industries and Production told this in a tweet after meeting with Samsung Pakistan MD and CEO. He further added that Smartphone production in Pakistan is growing following DIRBS implementation and Mobile Policy launched recently.
“Met with the Samsung Pakistan MD and CEO. They appreciated both policies and are now vigorously considering to establish a smartphone assembly plant in Pakistan,” he tweeted.
