FAISALABAD: In order to complete the mega project of Kashmir Bridge underpass on Canal Road, the Punjab Government has approved to release the remaining funds of Rs.480 million.
This mega project would be ultimately accomplished at a cost of Rs 1.28 billion. While examining the progress of the project, Muhammad Sohail Khawaja, Director General, Faisalabad Development Authority informed during the meeting.
The Director General FDA apprised that 75pc construction work was and the project would conclude by the end of this year. The Director General FDA scrutinized the different portions of underpass and said that Punjab government had given special attention on completion of Kashmir Bridge Underpass without further delay.
Director General FDA told that the remaining funds have been granted and there was no excuse of delay in the project. He also directed special measures should be taken for the protection and safety of underpass due to monsoon season and traffic flow should be regulated smoothly to ease the public.
