Wearing mask will be obligatory for students in schools: Akbar Ayub

Akbar Ayub, Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Education on Thursday apprised that as educational activities resume in schools, it will be obligatory for all students to come from home wearing masks as well as teaching and non-teaching staff and administration of the schools will also have to make sure they use of masks in school timings.

He directed the officials of the education department to make sure water supply in all schools and also to have soap for washing children’s hands in due course of time.

He also requested the parents not to send sick children to schools and if any child was found sick in school or showed signs of the corona, he should be sent back home right now and given a chance to rest completely.

Akbar Ayub apprised that anti-corona objects could be procured from the PTC fund, sports fund, and medical fund in schools in order to fulfill the precautionary measures.

He further apprised that the staff of the health department would move to the schools and perform tests of the teaching and non-teaching staff and boys and girls for which a formal notification has been promulgated by the education department in view of government orders.
